Van Puijenbroek Textiel invests in Skopje

New activities in Macedonia Van Puijenbroek Textiel, owner of the HaVeP and Bucofa brands, has been a well-known employer in Macedonia for more than 40 years and now intends to expand its activities in this South-Eastern European country. Rob Kwaspen, one of the directors of Van Puijenbroek Textiel: “We already have our own production plant and a CAD/CAM office in Tunisia which we use to manage several local companies”. “The time has now come to build our own plant in Macedonia as well”, adds his colleague director Huub Zegveld. Quick response and product development The purchase of 7200 m2 land near Skopje Airport represents the first step in the construction of a new production unit. Kwaspen: “In this way, we will be able to respond more quickly to market demand. In addition to the quick-response unit, we are also giving our customers the opportunity to develop clothing on site together with our designers and try it out on the same day.”

HaVeP Impex The Macedonian subsidiary of Van Puijenbroek Textiel, HaVeP Impex, has purchased land in the Municipality of Ilinden and will supervise the construction work in close cooperation with Van Puijenbroek Textiel. Van Puijenbroek Textiel has reserved 2 million euros for this investment and endeavours to create 100 new jobs within a year. At the present time, more than 70 new companies are active in Ilinden and the local authorities are very helpful in completing the administrative procedures quickly.
